Do you have pain related to your biomechanics?
Orthotics and insoles can help a wide range of conditions such as fallen arches/flat feet, high arches, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, bunions, metatarsalgia, Achilles tendonitis, shin splints, and hip/knee/back pain.
Premier County Sports Medicine and Chartered Physiotherapy Clinics provide biomechanical assessments for adults and children. Orthotics and insoles can be prescribed depending on the individual foot type and condition.
Our feet are so important to our biomechanics as it is the contact point to the ground when standing, walking, and running. A smooth walking cycle and good alignment means there are less forces throughout each joint. An orthotic/insole might be needed to correct a malalignment. An orthotic/insole can change heel contact, midfoot contact and toe off when walking or running. By correcting the foot, structures such as the ankles, knees, and hips have better alignment. In turn this will help with certain conditions, and will also prevent conditions occurring.
